Temple Cleaning Day: DBT is Shining

There is a special kind of joy found when working side by side with sangha members on the third Saturday of each month. We sweep, polish, scrub and shine. Others pick up, mop, climb to reach window panes and tall bookshelves. The beauty of our “rooted ones” in the vibrant garden are maintained. Sure, it is work. It is, however, more than that. It is community, movement, energy, appreciation, and an honoring of the temple in which we take refuge. It is giving back, an offering perhaps, to the boundless compassion, knowledge, and miracles, offered to us so freely. I am honored to be part of the sangha and cleaning crew!
