MEALS ON WHEELS

By delivering meals to seniors in San Diego County, you can help ensure our seniors remain independent. Our volunteers are doing so much more than just delivering nutritious meals – they provide social interactions for our seniors who may be isolated or homebound. Our volunteers also conduct critical safety checks while dropping off meals to ensure our seniors are safe. Meals on Wheels San Diego County could not serve over 3,000 seniors a year without the help of our gracious volunteers.

DELIVER MEALS: From San Marco to Chula Vista, from Del Mar to Alpine, our volunteers deliver meals and smiles to seniors all across San Diego County.

ADOPT A ROUTE: Your business or organization can make a difference by committing to a monthly delivery route. Send one or two members every month to fulfill your route.

WE CARE PACKAGE: Donate small gift bags to our seniors to brighten their day on special occasions and birthdays.

AMIKAS FOUNDATION

Amikas’ vision is for every woman and child in San Diego to have a safe place to live.
The Mission of our organization is to work to prevent women and children, especially veteran women, from being homeless. We will create and provide housing options for homeless women and children; and we will advocate to influence society’s perception and public policies regarding homelessness.

Amikas was founded in 2009 by a small group of socially minded advocates seeking to protect women, children, and female veterans. The founders and continuing members believe this is San Diego’s most vulnerable population.

Join Amikas today to help solve homelessness in our most vulnerable population. Emergency sleeping cabins, are a refuge where women can focus on finding permanent housing and employment, keeping their kids in school, and getting off the streets of San Diego.

SAN DIEGO RIVER PARK FOUNDATION

Today, the San Diego River can be seen as a green ribbon winding its way through steep valleys, agricultural lands, industrial areas, residential developments, and dense urban settings as it journeys from the hills and mountains near Julian and Santa Ysabel to the Pacific Ocean.

Its signature Cottonwood and Willow trees mark much of the River’s course as it travels approximately 52 miles. The River is rich in history and ecological value. It’s also the namesake waterway of the San Diego region, and is uniquely positioned to be the focus of a new way of thinking about our relationship to nature and its value for creating sustainable communities with a high quality of life.

Our vision is to protect and enhance these valuable resources, encourage communities to embrace this legacy, and celebrate the River with the creation of a park system the length of the river.

WE SEE YOU

We See You San Diego is a nonprofit that takes a different approach to seeing men & women leave homelessness & addiction behind. Two things that often don't go together are people who live on the streets and a lavish dinner party. But every Tuesday, families & individuals from all over San Diego come together to host a party for people who live on the streets.

Through the weekly gathering, relationships are established and trust is built. Every week an invitation is extended to individuals to enter detox or a recovery program that best meets their individual needs. We See You walks alongside people through their recovery, inviting them into community.

We invite you to be a part of seeing lives transformed and partner with We See You San Diego.

Monarch School is a trauma-informed and strength-based community where students can persevere through the trauma of homelessness that has affected them and their success in education.
