Women's Buddhist Leadership Program: Cohort 2

It brings us great joy to introduce the Dharma Bum Temple’s second cohort from the Women’s Buddhist Leadership Program. We are incredibly honored and humbled to help implement this program and work with these amazing women!

This is a free 8-week program which includes the daily practice of meditation, Dharma talks from guest speakers (all women), meditation facilitator training, discussions, and video Dharma homework. We gather twice a week, practice leading meditation and discussion for classes at the DBT, attend one retreat at Hidden Valley Zen Center and will also march together in the Pride Parade. We are grateful to have had Karma Lekshe Tsomo (and TinTin) as our first guest speaker as she shared the history of women in Buddhism. Our second guest was Venerable Robina Courtin who enlightened us all with a beautiful and challenging teaching on Karma.

Special thank you to The Frederick P. Lenz Foundation for American Buddhism for funding this program! Click here to learn more about the Lenz Foundation.
