On behalf of the Dharma Bum Temple, co-founder and CEO Jeffrey Zlotnik had the incredible honor of being a part of the 32nd Annual All Faith Service at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at USD. The theme this year was "Caring For Our Common Home." Jeffrey led a meditation while reminding everyone that as we work diligently to take care of the world around us, we must also take care of ourselves.
As a Catholic university, the USD community includes people from a diverse array of faith traditions and beliefs. The All Faith Service celebrates that wonderful diversity by bringing together students, religious leaders, faculty, staff and community members in prayer. It was a chance to see how Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and indigenous faith traditions empower us to care for our home.
Special thanks to Matthew Piechalak for the amazing photos, USD student Grant Sobek for being an incredible MC as well as Michael Lovette-Colyer and Mark Peters for making my participation possible. Click here for photo album from the event!
