It’s often difficult to put into words what this Dharma Bum Temple means to people and how it impacts thousands of lives every year. This past Sunday night we held our 5th Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event and it left me in tears. Thanks to all of the people in this photo and approximately 50 more, the Dharma Bum Temple is able to open its doors every day. The words shared by every volunteer made me laugh and cry. The joy in people’s hearts as they shared what the DBT means to them is priceless. The consistent message was people often feel they receive so much more than what they give from their volunteer efforts. No matter how we look at it, everyone benefits. I’m honored to have helped create something so sacred and special to all who show up. Thank you again to all the volunteers, you make the Dharma Bum Temple happen and I am grateful!
