On February 16, 2026, the Dharma Bum community was honored to participate in the 33rd Annual All Faith Service at University of San Diego, a longstanding gathering dedicated to unity, reflection, and shared humanity.

Held on the USD campus, the annual service brings together spiritual leaders and community members from diverse religious traditions to stand side by side in prayer, contemplation, and solidarity. In a time when division often feels amplified, the All Faith Service continues to offer something different: a visible reminder that our shared values are stronger than our differences. 

This year, Dharma Bum Temple co-founder Jeffrey Zlotnik was invited to serve as a speaker and presenter. Representing the Buddhist tradition, Jeffrey shared words centered on compassion, interconnection, and the practice of showing up for one another in meaningful ways. His message emphasized that solidarity is not just a sentiment, it is a daily practice. Through mindfulness, deep listening, and courageous kindness, we help create a world rooted in dignity and respect for all beings.

The service reflected the heart of what interfaith work can be: not blending traditions into sameness, but honoring distinct paths while recognizing our shared commitment to peace, justice, and love.

For Dharma Bum Temple, participating in the All Faith Service is both an honor and a responsibility. Our practice teaches that awakening is inseparable from community. When we stand alongside our brothers and sisters of different faiths, we embody the very teachings of interconnectedness that Buddhism holds dear.

We are grateful to the University of San Diego for hosting this 33-year tradition and for continuing to create space where faith leaders can come together in mutual respect.

May gatherings like this remind us that even in challenging times, we are not separate. We belong to one human family.
