One of our favorite traditions each year is our annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration, held at the end of the year to honor the incredible people who make the Dharma Bum Temple possible. It is a special evening where we come together in gratitude to celebrate another year of service, friendship, and community.

Looking back on our most recent celebration at the end of 2025 reminds us just how fortunate we are to have such an amazing volunteer community. It was a joyful opportunity to share a meal, laugh together, reflect on all that we had accomplished, and simply say "thank you" to the people whose kindness touches so many lives.

The Dharma Bum Temple exists because of volunteers. Every meditation class, retreat, outreach program, special event, community project, and welcoming smile is made possible by people who generously give their time and talents in service to others. Whether someone helps once a month or several times each week, every act of generosity strengthens our community and helps create a place where people can find peace, healing, and connection. 

Volunteering is more than lending a helping hand, it is a beautiful practice of generosity, compassion, and community. In giving to others, we often discover that we receive just as much in return through meaningful friendships, shared purpose, and the joy of serving together.

If you've ever considered getting involved, we would love to welcome you. There are many different ways to volunteer, and every contribution no matter how big or small makes a meaningful difference. Throughout the year, you'll become part of a compassionate community dedicated to benefiting others, and when the year comes to a close, we'll gather once again to celebrate everything we've accomplished together. 

To every volunteer, thank you for your generosity, your kindness, and your unwavering support. You are the heart of the Dharma Bum Temple. Your compassion reaches countless people, often in ways you may never fully see, and we are deeply grateful for everything you do.
